Discourses, through the use of discursive tools (such as the media) and various discourse texts, including television series, represent the diffreren institutions. This study addressess the following key questions cocerning television seies specifically focusing on one of the most popular Iranian series, “Aghazadeh”: How are institutions represented within them? What discourses are presented? What are the relationships between these discourses? And to what social processes do these discourses belong? In response to this questions, Norman Fairclough theory of critical discourse analysis was used as a conceptual framework. Critical discourse analysis approach was used for collecting and analyzing data in research. The research findings indicate that Aghazadeh series portrays a discursive opposition between the two justice-oriented religious discourse and economy-oriented secularism discourse. the central focus of this discursive opposition is the concept of justice itself. The series shows the superiority of justice-oriented religious discourse, by representing it as a more faverable and dominate narrative for establishing justice. To resolve this social conflict, the justice-oriented religious discourse, acting as the dominant discourse, asserts its superiority through the narrative of the “Aghazadeh” series and interpels its audience (parents and youth) towards its ideology. The primary strategy employed by this dominant discourse to interpellate its subjects is the “hope for the future” strategy. Through such texts, the dominant discourse instills hope in the audience that the economic corruption of the elite will be eradicated. By showcasing this prospect, it effectively interpels the subjects into its discourse and emboldens them
