Pierre Giroud, a French linguist (1912-1983), explores social signs from the perspectives of "identity" and "social etiquette". He explores the issue of identity in categories such as religion, language, occupation, names and titles, etc., and believes that by studying the signs and understanding the meanings hidden in them, a deep approach to the distinction of ideas can be achieved.
